Where is there space in here for the role of the rest of the world, aside from you and God? I mean that sincerely -- God may hold a person in perfect love but there's an awful lot in the world that might contribute to and/or account for feelings of lack or loss or loneliness or what-have-you. Is the rest of the world not supposed to matter, if you're Christian? (I'm not being facetious when I ask that, I honestly don't know if that's the theology.)
Yes, I think. If I’m understanding you. The world is “fallen.” Such old language, but you could also say what my grandfather used to say, “people are no damned good.” LOL We fuck one another over all the time often without even knowing it.
Love your enemies. Do good to those who hate you. Even within. They are a part of you that needs love. My enemies are a part of me I strive to love. I love you, too.
Rejoicing that you had an incoming thunderstorm. I love the smell of the earth preparing for the rain, the threatening wind, and the knowledge that our loving Creator is carrying us in his arms. It is a reminder that we are to care for his creation, since ALL of us are his creation and our foolish ways are what have destroyed so much of his carefully planned Creation.
