Friday of Fundraising Week: Ohio Grandmother Tells All!
I only need your attention for a moment or two.
Sometimes these posts need a catchy title. There is no Ohio grandmother disclosing anything here. But I am grateful to
for the idea. It’s just me…drinking my coffee in the wee hours of the morning. I arose shortly after three o’clock simply because I was done sleeping.Today is the last day I will ask you for money this year. I think. The fundraising effort for Richmond Hill is over at five o’clock this afternoon, at any rate. Thank you for sticking with me and for your generosity.
Y’all raised $3,628. Thank you. There were forty-four individual donors. Thank you all. It’s unbelievable to me.
Here’s yesterday’s total.
So many new donors…it’s really remarkable that there were so many first time donors. We ask so much from our Regulars. They get tired, too. They run out of steam. But then comes this infusion of new energy and generosity of spirit and we’re all uplifted.
I’ve been sharing from the Rule of Richmond Hill all week. Feel free to read it. I’m done with that exercise for now and will return to “Today’s Franciscan Nugget” with tomorrow’s post. For now…
…we pray for our citizens who live in Henrico County, the Supervisors, School Board, and County Manager. All who work in the manufacturing industry in metropolitan Richmond. The police, fire, and rescue workers. The courts. All young people. All who hurt, need inner healing, or are unable to love.
Y’all, life can be hard. It is easy to believe that we are alone in it, separated from love and community. More and more, people cry, “I’m lonely!” But there are places like Richmond Hill who are doing the work of community. Called to live together and work toward the healing of metropolitan Richmond, the community has room for you. Join us at one of our community meals, for prayer, or just come hang out in the walled garden. You are most welcome.
Feel free to contribute to the ministry of Richmond Hill here. Thank you.
Y’all be excellent to each other.
